Every Frontiers Research Topic that closes in the Award period will be considered to enter the competition for the Frontiers Spotlight Award.

• Research Topics completed in 2016 are eligible for the first annual Frontiers Spotlight Award.
  The winning Research Topic will be announced in May 2017 and conference hosted in 2018.
   
• Research Topics finalized in 2017 will be eligible of the second annual Frontiers Spotlight Award.
  The winning Research Topic will be announced in 2018 and conference hosted in 2019.
   
• Organizing a Research Topic is free, and article published in Research Topics
